Dedicated Connection

The dedicated connection means that SLmail is always connected to the Internet with a static IP address and that it will route all messages independent of a Smarthost.

Options Page

Disable Smarthost is checked.

Disable MX Lookup is not checked.

System Page

A valid Internet DNS server is specified.

The Smarthost field is blank or contains "smarthost."

Routing Options Page

Routing is set to Check All Records.

Send to Smarthost on Failure is not selected.

Connection Method Page

Connection method is set to Dedicated Network Connection.
